A hat-trick from Donal Collins secure the West Cork Masters Cup for a delighted Cloughduv Celtic at the expense of a battling Rosscarbery in Dunmanway last Friday evening. The cup decider proved a fitting conclusion to another excellent summer of soccer with Celtic making up for the disappointment of conceding their league crown to Drinagh by claiming the season's last piece of silverware.
Collins netted the only goal of a tight first half with a cracking left foot drive before adding a sublime volley early in the second period. The 2012 Golden Boot winner netted his 17th of the season late on to complete a terrific hat-trick and cement a deserved 3-0 victory for his side.
Despite the defeat Peter Hayes, Ger Collins and Pascal O'Brien impressed for Rosscarbery with Donal Collins, Martin McCarthy and Barry Cullinane outstanding for Cloughduv.
