2012 WEST CORK MASTERS FIXTURES SCHEDULE ANNOUNCED
The 2012 West Cork Masters fixture schedule has been announced following sterling work from Noel O'Donovan and Diarmuid Keohane writes Ger McCarthy.
Wednesday May 23rd will mark the start of the summer league programme with Bunratty United hosting Drinagh Rangers in Schull in what should prove an evenly fought encounter between two experienced Masters clubs.
Clonakilty AFC, under the tutelage of Lorne Edmeade, plays host to Skibbereen in Ballyvackey in what should be a high-scoring affair between two sides packed with attacking talent.
Courtmacsherry enjoyed an excellent 2011 campaign but face the arduous task of hosting last year's West Cork Masters League Champions Cloughduv on opening night. Dunmanway Town are tipped by many to challenge for honours this summer and welcome Ardfield to Mohona on the opening evening of the new campaign. There is a local derby in Carrigroe where Rosscarbery will hope to emulate the recent success of their (Junior) Beamish Cup winning team at home to Clonakilty Town in Carrigroe.Castletown Celtic enjoy a bye before joining the fray next week. All league fixtures are scheduled to kick-off at 7:30 pm.
