A final end of season message from our esteemed Masters League co-founder, Noel O'Donovan and the announcement of the 2012 Masters Player of the year.

I don't think that he has forgotten anyone, if he has i can guarantee that it is not intentional!
I just want to row in behind all that he has typed & thank everyone for their help throughout the year!

Obviously Ger can't go thanking/praising himself so i will! A huge thanks for his professionalism on both the website & his newspaper column!
I think it's brilliant to see our games in the paper at this hour of our lives!
Also, maybe i'm imagining it but i honestly think that the Masters page is the easiest to follow website on the web! On a personal note, his is always a good brain to pick when a second opinion is often needed!
CONGRATS
I just want to add my Congratulations to all 11 Clubs who kept it going for the whole season, not easy for some Clubs this Summer, i appreciate! I sincerely hope that the eleven Clubs appreciate what their Club contacts do for them throughout the Summer (if they don't, i suggest ye remind them, preferably at the Bar some night!)
An extra Congratulations to Drinagh, Cloughduv & Dunmanway for taking home the silverware!
Was super to see Drinagh finally getting their hands on a Trophy, a very solid, hard to break down team, i know that they won't be giving up their crown without a fight next Summer! From a League point of view, four different winners in our four years is a super advertisement for us!
Congrats to Cloughduv who were very near bringing off the double, certainly in my opinion the team that have raised the bar & will prob start off next Summer as the team to beat! Also congrats to Dunmanway who are always there at the business end of the season, their third trophy in four seasons makes them the Leagues most successful Team, well capable of adding the big one next Summer!
Congrats to Donie Collins (Cloughduv) on winning the Golden Boot, 17 goals is some belting in any standard of Tournament! If you add Ger Mc's & my own total together, you'll find that we are only 15 behind him!

Only four Clubs took the time to vote (thanks to Bunratty, Clon Town, Cloughduv & Dunmanway!)
I won't tell ye who voted for who but the four Clubs voted as follows: I sorted it on a 3 points awarded for 1st choice, 2 for 2nd & 1 for 3rd!
First team that got back to me voted: 1st Paudie Ahern (Castletown), 2nd Maurice Moore (Ross), 3rd Diarmuid Keohane (Ardfield)
Second team: 1st Pascal O'Brien (Ross), 2nd Vitek (Clon AFC), 3rd Neil Sexton (Courtmac)
Third team: 1st Mike Doolan (Drinagh), 2nd Barry Cullinane (Cloughduv), 3rd Paudie Ahern (Castletown)
